Jackson Hole Camping

Camping is a unique and fun way to enjoy Jackson Hole. Many wonderful camping facilities will give your family a vacation that they will not soon forget.

Flat Creek Ranch offers camping in wilderness surroundings where you can venture off on many hiking adventures guided or on your own. Experience fields of wildflowers, fishing on a quiet serene mountain lake or hike up a mountain while on your Jackson Hole vacation.

You may even wish to learn more about a Hiking Safari. You will absolutely love getting up close and personal with the wildlife and scenery while you camp and hike in one of the most beautiful areas of the United States with a guide to show you the way. After your venture off in the wild you can come back, relax, and enjoy a nice warm shower at camp.

If you are an avid hiker then you will love the scheduled routine. The normal schedule is three days of hiking and two nights at the camp. You will be picked up in the town of Jackson and driven to the trailhead, and then when afternoon arrives your guide will lead up the trail to the vistas of the Tetons to the Safari style tent camp on Sheep Creek. You can decide to either hike from one to six miles your first day. Then you eat dinner at camp and then enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. The next morning you eat a wonderfully prepared breakfast and hike four miles to Goodwin Lake. If you are ready, you can venture off three more miles up the mountain or rest and fish. If you decide to go onward, you will reach the top and the local landmark Jackson Peak that is at an elevation of 10,741 feet. You will then return to camp for dinner and another nice quiet night’s sleep. The next day is another hike on a different trail.

Prices for the Hiking Safari are 1 night with 2 days of hiking is $210 per person, 2 nights with three days of hiking is $420 per person. Children under seventeen are $160 per person, per night. These rates include hot breakfast and dinner with sack lunches, wine or beer at dinner, the use of the tents, camping gear, sleeping bags, bag liners, drinking water, and transportation.
